Chugging Along

Good morning everyone,

I am cleaning out my knitting totes (I'm up to three now) and enjoying a case of "finishitis." I've had the socks below in a bag for months, as well as a single Saartje bootie and a DW washrag. I made a promise to myself that I'd finish those three projects before I started something else.

Well...that's not quite true. I went ahead and cast on an afghan for my sister, Denise, but it's much smaller than its predecessor. Denise's blanket is in hunter, cream and burgundy (her favorites) and it's another feather and fan. When it and the other three are finished, I plan on doing a Peace Fleece shawl, some baby knitting, cabled wrist warmers, my Jayne hat and whatever else strikes my fancy.

Christmas is over and the next few months are MINE (she writes, chuckling darkly). Have a wonderful week!

Pretty blanket!

I can't wait to start knitting for ME, ME, ME! I kind of made myself a promise that I'd do more selfish knitting this year, but I don't seem to be accomplishing that.

Yeah.... I keep thinking I'm going to do more knitting for me and it doesn't seem to work that way so much either...
What pattern are you thinking for the Peace Fleece shawl? or is there one called that?
Socks and Blankie are lookin' GOOD!

knits are looking good!!

I'm at that "me me me!" stage too! And I'm resolving not to put MY project aside because I think of something that someone else would like to have! I will knit for ME this year as well as others! :)

Lovely as always!!
Knitting for others seems to give such a satisfaction..esp. if the recipient is grateful~~and most are always..except the occasional one that says..'YOU MADE THAT'...argh!!

Isn't "finishitis" the best? Especially the feeling of, "Hey, I can cast on anything I want!!" Oh, the possibilities...
