Thanksgiving in Maryland

On Wednesday, the kids and I finally returned to Maryland for a Thanksgiving visit with my sister, Denise, and her family. We stopped along the way, both going and returning, at my grandmother's house and had nice visits with her too.

This is Denise's backporch view (you're seeing the Patuxent River).
This is my youngest nephew, "Bedhead Trevor." I had an absolute ball playing with him!

Thanksgiving Dinner (Denise refused to serve hot dogs, so we had ham instead).

Photo-taking was mandatory since it was one of the few times where all of the kids were together. This is the "We're sick of pictures!" photo.

and this is the "Smile...or Else" photo. ;)

And a bit of knitting content. I finished the first "Warmest Mitten." Once the second is done, I'll felt them down and see how they turn out.

What a view! and ok, I'm talking 'out her back porch' AND the kids.
manOman, that Trevor has some amazing blue eyes.
What?!? no baby bump pics? (smile, Denise :^)
can't wait to see how the mittens felt.

It looks as if everyone was having a great time..cousins are always fun to catch up with..even at this age..
Your mitten looks fabulous!!!
I felted the one pair..but only briefly...thinking it would keep them from shedding so badly..but they felted nicely. You will soon be 'smitten with mittens'..

It looks like you had a great time, even if the kids were being a bit teenagerish at times! Its great when you can get a big family together. My parents came up to my new apartment for the holiday, so we had a great time too!
